The City of Melbourne is calling for entries to their Eco-city photography competition. Entries accepted UNTIL 14 JULY
Photographs should be taken of places, people or things that represent your vision of sustainability.
Prizes will be awarded for each of the categories: Open; High School;Primary School - as well as commendations for a range of different subjects.
Each category winner will receive a printed copy of their photograph in a reclaimed timber frame from Mulberry Gallery plus a $100 voucher from Todae, a leading online eco-store.
There will also be commendations for the following subjects:
- biodiversity
- sustainable water use
- sustainable business
- sustainable design (buildings, urban landscape, water sensitive urban design)
- sustainable living/sustainable people
- sustainable transport (excluding entries to previous City of Melbourne photography competition)
The awarded images will be printed by All About Graphics (www.allaboutgraphics.com.au ) who specialise in a niche area of the finest qualilty art, photograhic and presentation prints.
The images will then be exhibited at pigmentGALLERY (www.pigmentgallery.com.au ) on level 2 of the iconic Nicholas Building in the heart of Melbourne in 22 July – 1 August.
The Nicholas Building is a destination for those interested in fashion,design and the arts. Pigment Gallery adds to the mix of gallery spaces in the Flinders Lane art precinct and wider City of Melbourne arts offerings.
Cycling related entries will also be considered for the 2009 Bike Account. To see the 2008 Bike Account for information on last year’s account.
